A serial entrepreneur, Francesco Baschieri since 2010 has been the CEO of Spreaker, a platform he founded for creating, distributing and monetizing podcasts and live radio shows. The Spreaker.com Community counts more than 4 millions of active users and is a proud partner of iHeartRadio, the biggest broadcasting radio in the United States. Before that, he was the co-founder of Waymedia, which is known for creating Bluetooth beaconing and numerous other pioneering proximity marketing technologies.

After graduating in with a Masters degree in computer engineering, Francesco started his career as a software engineer and project manager for Alstom Transport, a French-based multinational company operating in the energy and transport sector. Later he was appointed as the Director of operations for Sirea, a company active in the production and commercialization of products for the European food service industry.

Currently, Francesco is also a lecturer at the University of Bologna—his own alma mater—where he teaches a course in Digital Entrepreneurship.
